From his alma mater the University of Miami, Joseph Klock was bestowed several awards, including the University of Miami Center for Ethics and Public Service Lawyers in Leadership Award and the University of Miami Law Alumni Association, Outstanding Alumnus of the Year. His other distinctions include a Doctorate in Humane Studies, Honoris Causa from La Salle University and the Henry J. Morgenthau Jr Distinguished Service Award, named after the United States Secretary of the Treasury who served during the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration.
